Can the PACS send to a recipient with a dynamic IP address?
Yes! Connect Imaging accommodates even those recipients without a fixed IP address—i.e., those who log in through a cable or DSL connection.
Why it matters: Cable and DSL connections don’t always maintain a fixed IP address. For this reason, a PACS distributor should be able to recognize the IP address from which the recipient is calling, match it to the recipient’s name (AE title), and know what studies to forward to him/her.
