Description

Mistakes happen, and sometimes studies get into the archive with incorrect information. When that happens, it is necessary to correct the information for both the database and the image headers so the incorrect information does not remain. QA Manager and QA Lite were designed for this data correction task.

QA Manager and QA Lite allow querying of a study in the archive, then removing it from the archive for correction of DICOM header information. Once the appropriate headers are corrected, the study is sent back to FileRoom for processing and adding in to the archive again. When the study is removed, all database entries for the study are also removed. When corrections are made to the study, the changes are made to the DICOM headers for every image in study, so that no incorrect information remains.

User logon and authentication is required to use QA Manager, and all retrieval of studies and changes to studies are logged in the HIPAA database for security purposes.

Features and Benefits

  • Studies can be removed from archive for correction of DICOM header information.
  • When study is retrieved, old study is deleted from archive.
  • Studies can be retrieved from folders or from DICOMDIR CD’s for saving to archive.
  • (QA Manager only) Prevalidates data in DICOM header elements of studies before being sent to FileRoom for processing.
  • (QA Manager only) Checks for presence of data in required header fields. Header fields requiring data are configurable by the user. Header fields can be modified for studies that fail header check.
