Connect Imaging Tech Workstation is software that provides the functions that the technologists find most useful when working with studies in a PACS. Such functions include receiving studies from modalities, printing, sending via DICOM protocol, or burning to CD. In addition, because of the specific software design of the user interface of the program, technologists can learn very quickly how to use the programs. All the commonly used functions are shown as buttons in a toolbar that is always shown on the left side of the screen, so clinical personnel can learn to use the software with minimal training.
Tech Workstation can receive a study via DICOM protocol from any other DICOM modality and store it in a temporary database on the workstation. In addition, studies can be retrieved from any Connect Imaging PACS via SQL query. Studies can then be viewed, modified, printed, and sent to other DICOM SCP devices. As an additional feature, the minimum required patient demographic information in the DICOM header can be specified before the study is allowed to be sent.
- Receive study via DICOM protocol from any DICOM Store Service Class User.
- Retrieve any study from Connect Imaging PACS via SQL query.
- Query by patient name, patient ID, patient location, body part, accession number, date, or modality.
- Scan paper documents and add them as an additional series to any saved study.
- Burn any study to a CD, along with a built-in viewer, for handing out to a patient or referring physician.
- Print a study to any DICOM compatible printer; print format and images can be changed at time of print.
- Send a study via DICOM protocol to any DICOM Store Service Class Provider.
