• Mammo VCM Port is designed to make the mammography images from a FUJIFILM FCMm CR mammography system hang correctly on viewers that implement the hanging protocol section of the IHE Mammography Image Profile (IHE Mammo).
• Section 4.16.4.2.2.1.1.2, Image Orientation and Justification, of the IHE Technical Framework requires that image display software claiming the Mammography Image Profile must use mammography-specific headers, including the View Modifier Code Sequence (0054, 0222) to display images rather than depend on descriptive attributes such as Series Description (0008, 103E).
• Mammo VCM Port is installed on each IIPm technologist console of the FUJIFILM FCRm CR mammography system. As images are sent from the IIPm technologist console, VCM Port reads the Series Description (0008, 103E) header tag, extracts information related to five View Modifier codes (cleavage, axillary tail, magnification, spot compression, and/or implant displaced) and adds the appropriate View Modifier Code Sequences to the image header.
