Radiologist productivity is maximized with FFDM PACS by getting studies to the radiology workstation when needed and providing tools to manipulate images for quick and efficient reading. Connect Imaging’s unique Mammo ViewBox software module, imbedded within the ViewBox, automatically changes to an IHE compliant mammography workstation when mammography studies are viewed.
Studies can be prefetched manually or sent directly to the workstation, where they are displayed on the worklist. Studies are preloaded up to available physical memory for faster display. Once loaded, studies are displayed in screening, diagnostic palette, or basic special layout according to the required task.
- Studies are hung automatically without user intervention, no matter how many films they contain.
- Studies are initially displayed in screening or diagnostic layout, depending on user preferences.
- Worklist on third panel shows information and status of all studies on local workstation. Different prior studies can be loaded for comparison with current study with a mouse click.
- Simplified configuration defines hanging protocol strategies for all types of studies.
- Studies can be viewed in standard screening layout, mirrored prior layout, or diagnostic view layout. Multiple images in a view are stacked or laid out for review.
- Mouse double click puts study in diagnostic reading mode. Scroll wheel moves among different views.
- Palette view is available for dragging and dropping images into specific viewports. Multiple images can be dropped to a viewport.
- Full annotation and measurement tools available. Annotations are saved as DICOM Presentation States.
- Displays CAD overlay marks, either when saved as 6000 level header tags or as DICOM SR.
- Images can be received directly from digital mammography machine and displayed correctly as they are received.
- Studies can be printed to any DICOM printer with all ACR recommended labels.
- Automatically switches to ViewBox when displaying other modalities.
